Have you heard? Sitting for long periods of time is just as bad as smoking. Unfortunately you might be stuck working nine-to-five tied to your desk, with little time before or after work to get a workout in.

However, by making small changes throughout your workday, you can improve your health and reduce your risk for potentially dangerous conditions like heart disease.

So beyond typical exercises, there are also other things you can do, like taking the stairs, drinking lots of water instead of juice or soda, and keeping healthy snacks at your desk.
