3 Red Flags of Chronic Dry Eye
Coming indoors from the summer heat to a refreshing blast of air conditioning can be a summer pleasure.

But, did you know the cool breeze from air conditioning may actually make your eyes feel worse if there's an underlying, undiagnosed problem?

According to Dr. Rene Bovelle, a leading ophthalmologist from the D.C. area, ongoing eye discomfort and dryness may in fact be something much more serious than a temporary eye irritation.

It might be Chronic Dry Eye (CDE), which affects approximately five million people in the U.S.

Dr. Bovelle recommends looking out for three red flags. If spotted, you should see an eye care doctor as soon as possible to get screened for CDE.

Three Red Flags for Eyes:
  1. Using artificial tears multiple times a day.
  2. Feeling of dryness seems to worsen over time, even with the use of artificial tears.
  3. Dry eye symptoms may affect daily activities, such as reading or driving at night.

Dr. Bovelle joins host, Melanie Cole, MS, to share the three warning signs of CDE and how you can heal it.
