As many as 10 million people in the U.S. alone suffer from osteoporosis and 18 million more are at risk of developing the disease. Another 34 million Americans are at risk of osteopenia, or low bone mass, which can lead to fractures and other complications.
While often thought of an "older" person's disease, osteoporosis can impact anyone, at any age.
In fact, at the age of 30, special guest, Mira Calton, was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. Her doctor told her she had the bones of an 80-year-old, and that she would have to sell her business and have someone take care of her the rest of her life.
Fortunately, she was able to enlist the help of her now husband, Dr. Jayson Calton, and was able to heal and reverse the condition using the right micronutrients.
"Micronutrient" is an umbrella term that encompasses the vitamins, minerals, essential fats and amino acids that your body needs to function at an optimal level.
Listen in as Mira and Jayson join Dr. Susanne to explain why micronutrients are so important for good health, as well as which ones you may be deficient in.
