Do I need the shingles vaccine if I've already had shingles?

According to the CDC, anyone over the age 60 should receive the shingles vaccine, regardless of whether or not you've already had shingles (or the chicken pox). There is no maximum age for receiving the vaccine, and doing so may reduce future occurrences if you've already been afflicted with shingles.

Stress may increase your vulnerability, so try to take care of yourself in that area.

Does skipping breakfast really cause weight gain?

In short, no. For years, experts were taught to instruct people to not skip breakfast. Science has disproved this. Take a look at the word... it's not breakfast, but rather "break fast." Experts now know that it's important to not eat for a period of 12-16 hours before you break that fast. So, if you're eating late at night, you should not be eating right away in the morning.

How can I improve my balance?

Improving your physical balance as you get older is important, because it naturally declines. Perform balance-building exercises, such as standing on a BOSU ball, yoga, and tai chi. Another tactic is to shift from one leg to another anytime you're waiting in line, such as at the airport, DMV, or post office. Try to challenge yourself as much as possible.
