Move for Minds is an event for Alzheimer's disease awareness. It takes place across the nation on May 21, 2016.
Move for Minds has partnered with Equinox Sports Club to help women learn about Alzheimer's. It's a fundraiser for gender-based research, since women are affected by Alzheimer's more often than men.
Also, women typically have to leave their jobs to be the caretakers of family members who are diagnosed with the disease.
The Federal government spends far less on Alzheimer's research than on AIDS and cancer research. It's important to find out what causes this condition. Because physical health is tied to brain health, that factor must be tied to the research.
This event is three hours long and takes place in Boston, Los Angeles, Irvine, Washington, D.C., New York and San Francisco. For more information, visit www.moveforminds.org.
