EP 914B The Positive Power of Baking Bread
Most people would view baking bread as a mundane or even difficult task. After all, why make it if you can buy it from the store?

But, for one woman, baking challah transformed her life.

In her book, Braided: A Journey of a Thousand Challahs, Dr. Beth Ricanati details the positive journey she's been on ever since she began making challah every Friday 10 years ago.

She explains how doing something with your hands that is productive and beneficial for your family and friends can heal heartache, emptiness and sense of being overwhelmed.

Find out how a meditative activity like making bread can connect you to others in your community and across the globe.
