Endocrine disruptors interrupt normal endocrine function. They can prompt responses in the body or prevent completion of certain functions.
These disruptors surround us. Pesticides, synthetic hormones, chemicals and medications contain endocrine disruptors. There may be good reasons to take an endocrine disruptor, but the risks should be known before interaction.
Every disruptor affects individuals differently. Degree and timing of exposure can trigger reaction. Generations can be affected by one person’s exposure.
You can’t control everything in your environment. Your best bet is to get and stay healthy. Eat plenty of vegetables. Exercise regularly. Stimulate your brain. Ask your doctor and pharmacist about the side effects of anything you’re prescribed.
Listen as Su Robotti joins Dr. Susanne Bennett to discuss how to arm yourself against endocrine disruptors.
