Teaching kids to eat right can be tricky. You don't want to turn every meal into a lecture, but waiting too long could result in unhealthy eating patterns.
But Kathryn Guylay wants to make the process easier, even fun! Her work uses the power of peer to peer messaging, augmented reality, and imagination to teach healthy habits to our kids.
Kathryn is a speaker, certified nutritional counselor, and coach with a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). She is a serial entrepreneur in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. She serves as a Board member and Mentor for a business accelerator/incubator (the Ketchum Innovation Center).
She is also the award-winning and bestselling author of two books, Mountain Mantras: Wellness and Life Lessons from the Slopes and Give It a Go, Eat a Rainbow (a children’s picture book). Kathryn credits her family for her continued passion for nutrition and healthy living.
In this episode, Kathryn talks about her nonprofit Nurture, making learning interactive, eating the rainbow, and how to make a picky eater the solution to the problem.
